We made the campground reservations yesterday to finalize the trip. We will be staying in parks each of the three nights that are Passport America discount parks and the total cost for the three nights will be $47. How can you beat that? The 50% discount offered by that membership makes it a real bargain at $35/yr. The locations are: Deming, NM for the 1st night, Fort Stockton, TX the 2nd night and Boerne, TX the 3rd night. We are still leaving on Tuesday the 14th - Valentine's Day.
We had a very nice farewell dinner last night with George and Cheryl at the Haymaker Restaurant in Peoria. Josie didn't care for her salmon, but I think the rest of us enjoyed our choices. One of the topics we discussed was Brian's search for his perfect motorhome. Maybe everybody can pay us a visit in Port Lavaca, TX if he gets one sometime soon.
In the meantime, we have more packing to do and we will most likely take everything to storage that needs to go by tomorrow or Thursday. We are getting control of that process and should have no trouble having everything ready in time...
