Very early yesterday I received an email from the accountant in Wyoming informing me that the W-2's were not sent out until January 30th because she was on vacation and that is when she returned. Also in the email was a photocopy of our W-2's which was a godsend. I immediately printed them and started work on the taxes. By 3 PM yesterday, our taxes were done and e-filed for our refund. I expect to see the refunds (Federal & AZ) within a couple weeks. What a relief to have them done. Turbo Tax keeps getting better and better and it makes the tax exercise painless, even with the house rental.
Josie had her final day at the shop yesterday and she said her farewells to everybody. We can both concentrate now on organizing everything for our trip. Identifying what goes to storage is the most important task. We also need to identify any items that we might need to take out of storage.
We scheduled a final get together with George and Cheryl before leaving next week. We will meet for dinner at a place we met before and had a nice dinner - the Haymaker in Peoria. That will be Monday night.
I plan to settle up with our RV office today for the balance of our stay. There is no sense retaining the space when we will not be here, and have no immediate plans to return anytime soon.
Things are beginning to move forward now as we count down the days to departure - 10 days...
