Truck Fixed

The good news from yesterday was a message from the Ford dealer in Idaho Falls that our truck is fixed. We are concerned that if we do not go there this morning and pick it up, they will not cover the extra days for our car rental if we wait for our next days off (beginning Tuesday). Our supervisor at work said there would be no problem if we went this morning. Our schedule has us closing again today, so our regular start time isn't until 10:45 AM. Our plan is to leave by 7 this morning, pick up the truck by 9 - 9:30 and return home for work by 11 AM. It will make for a long day, but we will be happy to have this whole experience behind us.

There is a new couple starting work today. One of our co-workers (Monica) is returning to college and today will be her final day. She gets to train the new couple on opening procedures which is a shame for somebody to go through on her final day of the season. She will be missed as she was one of the best workers we had. Dealing with new employees with just over a month to go may put a strain on our efforts over the final weeks of the season. The good part is that they will fill open spots on the schedule. We are counting down the time left - about 6 weeks to go...
