I (we) left work a half hour early yesterday so that I could discuss options with my Audiologist in Jackson. She indicated that the hearing aid was working fine all day but she indicated that she could still send it in for repairs at the factory, if I wanted to have it completely serviced. Of course, it should be under warranty for that to happen so that the cost would be reasonable. There is never any reasonable cost associated with hearing aids - any part of them - buying, using, servicing and insuring. I decided to try it for a day to see if it works OK before insuring it and sending it off.
While in the Audiologist office, we lost power in downtown Jackson. That ended our meeting, and we headed home. We stopped at the DQ on the way out of town and we lost power there while eating our ice cream. The next stop was home and, you guessed it - we had no power when we arrived home. The story we got was that a transformer blew up in Idaho Falls and power was lost between all of the Jackson area and Pocatello, ID. We sat outside until the power was restored at around 8 PM. Here are a couple shots taken outside:
The fire is still raging about 20 miles south of us. There are some nice areas that have been damaged and the road is closed to the area. It's a shame that some beautiful areas will take years to recover.
Our week ends today at 4:15 PM when we leave for our weekend. It looks like a stay-home weekend as we have chores to do around the RV...
