Monsoon Havoc

It was another night of monsoon rains last night. The first storm came through at 11:15 PM and lasted until almost 12:30 AM. The rest of the night was off and on lightening and thunder with rain mixed in. There is still one month to go for the monsoon, and it can't end soon enough. I stopped cleaning up after the storms as there are only more to follow. We bring the cushions inside at night from two of our outdoor chairs so that we have dry seats to sit out and have coffee in the mornings.

Josie is getting into the routine now on her new job. The commute is brutal and will eventually lead to a transfer request, I'm sure. It is 30 miles each way to work through some heavy traffic most of the time. Otherwise, it appears that she will like the job. Fortunately, AJ's has stores all over the Valley, most of which are closer to us.

Most of this weekend will be taken up watching the PGA Golf Championship on TV. It is the final major tournament of the season. They have experienced some lost time with rain delays. I believe they will get caught up by the end of today. The leaders are mostly familiar names, so it should be a very good tournament. There have been some surprises in the names of those that have missed the cut, namely Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed to name a few....
