Stark Contrast

We could not believe the sight as we drove home following work yesterday afternoon. Below are two shots, taken about a week apart from our RV, which reveal the seriousness of the wildfire smoke invasion in our area:

Where did the Tetons go?  Hidden in the wildfire haze!

You can't help but feel sorry for all the tourists that have arrived within the last few days. We spoke with some of them in the Visitor Center that have come from as far away as Australia to see these beautiful mountains. Most have a good attitude as nothing can be done about it and have indicated that they will return someday and try again.

We are off today and are planning a trip to Idaho Falls. Among visits to the wholesale stores, we still have to get the oil changed in the Escape. Hopefully, we can get everything done and have a good day...
