Endoscopy and Dinner

Only a few things were done for preparing for our trip in the morning yesterday. Josie had her doctor's appointment for her Endoscopy that required her to be at the clinic by 11:30 in Sun City. Fortunately, there isn't a whole lot left to do.

The Endoscopy went very well and Josie has peace of mind now about her concern over her digestive tract. There was some minor irritation discovered, but the Barrett's is still a very minor problem. The doctor took some biopsies and the results will be known in about a week.

We had a wonderful dinner with George and Cheryl at Macayo's in Surprise. It has been a while since we were there but it remains one of our favorites for Mexican food. We talked about their planned trip to visit us in Jackson this summer and it is coming together for sometime in late July or early August. Once we get to Jackson and see our schedule, we can zero in on specific dates. That should be a fun visit and a nice break for us to do a lot of the nice things that the area offers. We dropped them off at their home and headed out at about 7 PM. Have a great summer you guys. We took this parting shot of them outside their home:

Just before arriving back at the resort, we took a final shot of the sunset. This one happened to also have a couple hang gliders coming in for landings, although only one of them is visible (upper left) in this shot by the time we could pull over onto the side of the road:

Our final day today will involve a few errands and finally hitching up tonight before bedtime. We are leaving with some mixed feelings as we look forward to another great summer in Jackson, but will miss much of what we became accustomed to in this area of Arizona...
