Following a couple trips to Home Depot to pick up some last minute lights and some garland from Michael's, we finished up the outside decorations.
Josie did a great job on her crafted tree from a tomato vine tower, lights and garland. I have a shot of her tree during the final stages.
and completed:
We decided to place the tree on the front part of the site:
It really looks terrific, and this what the site looks like at just after dusk last night:
I guess you could say we are ready for the Christmas season. We also have white (clear) lights inside the gazebo, but they block out the nice colored lights on the tree in the back and the fence lights. Those lights are good for when we sit in the gazebo after dark. Our decorating effort now goes back to the inside of the rig and we only have a few more refinements on those before taking inside pictures.
We did a small turkey in our oven last night to have for "leftovers" following Thanksgiving. We are grateful for having Thanksgiving dinner out, but it is always nice to have some turkey and "fixins" to eat for a few days after the holiday. Our diets are on hold for this period in the year. Actually, our dieting does not exist at all at this time of the year and we are hoping to just maintain our weight from now to the end of the year. In order to do that, we will have to have some exercising between the binges...
