Storms and End of Week

The day was clear and warm yesterday right up until about 5 PM when the thunderstorms arrived once again. The first storm came in from the northwest right over the river:

It didn't seem like it was as bad as the storms we had the night before, but they produced some scary lightening and lots of loud thunder. The other interesting effect is the waves that are created by the wind from these storms. I was making rounds through the campground and snapped these pictures of the waves as they broke on our small beach area:

Remember, this is only a river. The forecast here is for more of the same for the next couple days, so it will be a good opportunity for us to finalize some arrangements for our departure while we are off.

Since we are on Eastern Standard Time, it will be a little later this morning before all the loops are closed with Amazon who is on Central Time. We would like to make sure we have at least a week to stay at the Thousand Trails park in Gloucester before leaving for Campbellsville. It should only take 2 driving days to get there from here. It all depends on the start date, which is suppose to be around July 1st. It is an honor to be considered for this Pilot Program that Amazon is trying this summer. Not all workampers from last year have been asked. At this point, we don't know how many will be there from last year, but we're sure some from our group of friends will be there. It should be a fun time.

Along with finalizing some (or all) of the details for that move today, we will do some local chores - like more laundry and some reorganization of the fifth wheel, which we do each time we pick up stakes to move on. Tomorrow's post will hopefully contain more details...
