I was shocked to learn yesterday that it could possibly be Friday before we hear about any results on our appraisal that was conducted on Monday. I though all of the research on a home was done prior to performing the actual walk through. At any rate, I fear that this delay in the process will be costly as far as getting a quick close. We haven't heard back yet about a firm date to close and we are trying to be patient with all the parties involved so that they can perform their duties. Sometimes, it isn't easy when there are many other events that must take place in a short time.
We have just over three weeks to go before we are expected to return to Jackson. There is always the possibility that we may notify them that we will be late, but that is not desirable. The real concern is that the closing on the house doesn't go beyond the planned departure date. We'll continue to be patient and take things as they occur...
