While Josie was working yesterday, I went back and forth with the realtor reviewing new listings of homes that have just come on the market. There were a couple that were interesting enough to schedule viewings which the realtor set up beginning at 5 PM last night after Josie got off work.
Neither one of the homes turned out to be as nice as the pictures that were part of the listings. We will keep plodding along hoping to find another home that satisfies our criteria and is nice enough to replace the one we lost through the title problems with the seller. We also signed the Mutual Consent document that releases our deposit back to us on that nice home we almost bought. That's two homes now that we can say we "almost bought". The next one better be the final go around or we might be tempted to set a new direction for the foreseeable future.
Josie works a full day today and I work from 3 until 9 PM so our house hunting will be limited for today. We hope that there will be something we can see by the end of the day tomorrow, as we leave Monday morning for 8 days in Chicago. Following that, Josie faces long days at work every day through Mother's Day which is May 10.
The couple wanting to purchase our amenities on our RV site came by late yesterday to take some measurements and talk more about buying everything we have except our furniture and the shed. That solves a problem of having to take down everything and move it to our new home (?). All we need to do now is finalize an address and a date for moving ourselves to a new home...
