The usual weekend crowd began pouring in yesterday. We had 17 check-ins for our RV sites and cabins. That doesn't sound like much but the seasonal people - those that come here on weekends and go home to work in the Valley on weekdays - also showed up.
There is a problem developing though that the staff at the resort will need to address. Most of the people that come here on weekends bring their toys - all kinds of ATV's. We have strict rules for riding these in the resort. You can only ride them from your campsite to the trails. The problem is that, late in the afternoon, we are seeing kids - 10 to 12 years old - joy riding around the campground. Not only is this dangerous, but it is illegal and against the rules. Bob went outside about 7 PM last night to tell two young kids that they had to park their ATV at the campsite. We have already seen the county sheriff deputies drive through the resort and write tickets to those that are driving without licenses and without valid registrations. We are going to make copies of the resort rules today and highlight the ATV rules and pass them out to all those that check-in in the future.
We're back to work at 7 this morning. There was a slight change in our schedules for next week. We have Tueday and Wednesday off instead of Wednesday and Thursday. No big deal.
That's about it for now...
