Season is Over

Our season has finally come to an end at the Visitor Center. It was a ho-hum day except for all the farewell wishes and good cheer from our friends - mostly the volunteers who we have worked with for several years. Our manager wasn't even there to wish us luck - but who cares. The folks who meant the most to us gave us a nice sendoff. We will be in touch throughout the year with our good friends who will keep us informed about changes. We have these final two shots of us in the Visitor Center:

We now do final preparation for our departure tomorrow. Of course, it is raining cats and dogs right now and the forecast is the usual - rain and thunderstorms for the next two days. Throw in a chance of snow and you have the picture of the way our season has gone weather wise. I just want to fill up the truck and get last minute supplies today and try to hook-up today. It would be nice to be ready to go when we get up in the morning.

Most people have expressed a wish that we return again next year. It is much too early to make that decision, but it is nice to feel wanted...
