Four Days Before Departure

Instead of getting the truck serviced, we washed the RV for the first time in many months. The weather dictated our schedule and it was too nice to waste the sunny and warm day doing something inside. Below are some shots of the RV and truck as we are getting things done for the departure on Monday:

Today's projects include a washout of the holding tanks and especially our black water tank which needs to be thoroughly cleaned. The way we do that is to connect another hose to the tank and let the water - at higher pressure into the tank - run for an extended period while draining. I want to get that project done while our neighbors are at work so that there is no interference by us on their space.

We also have an inspector coming today to do an evaluation of our RV for an extended warranty that we want to get. The fact that we will be spending more time than planned in the (aging) RV means that we need to make sure any (future) problems are covered.

We are definitely looking forward to spending some time at our house and hope all works out according to the planned schedule...
