Second Long Night

As expected, the evening last night was a late one and all we had time to do when we got off at 9:45 was to watch a little news and go to bed. We are not fans of the afternoon shift on weekends and will be happy to go back to our normal AM shifts next Friday and Saturday. The problem is that the bar in Jack's Place in the banquet room stays open until 9 PM and we can't close the front desk until after they get the last person out. The good news though is we get extra hours and more pay because our schedule shows we should be off at 8 PM. Our schedule today is back to our normal Sunday 12 to 6 shift. Jack's Place is not open on Sunday so we will be leaving shortly after the scheduled 6 PM close.

Today is checkout day for most people and we will get the usual Sunday "dump" business. It should get back to normal for us.

The weather is in a typical monsoon pattern although we didn't get any rain yesterday. It was cloudy and threatened rain all day and we had a high of only 72 degrees. From what we see and from what people have told us, we are having a very light monsoon season.

We received the new issue of the Workamping News magazine yesterday that has a whole lot of new postings for winter jobs and also, jobs for next summer. That will provide a lot more options for us to pursue in the next week or so. Stay tuned...
