Focus on the Rest of the Season

Our manager came in on his day off to try and put the rest of the season in perspective. The schedules will be changing pretty soon to reflect the slowdown in business. The restaurant has already discontinued Thursday night dinners and will only remain open on weekends. The office has been slower and he indicated that the hours will most likely change so the store will close at 4 PM during the week. We don't know when that will start, but probably right after Labor Day. We have already been asked to stay into October but the rest of the staff will probably be asked to leave after Labor Day. We are certain that the resort business can be handled with just the four of us after Labor Day (Chi Chi, Jamie, Josie and Bob). We'll see what happens.

We're planning to do another short trip to Payson on Wednesday, our first day off this week. We have to pick up a couple prescriptions for Josie and do some basic grocery shopping. We have talked about a short hike to one of the popular areas nearby. That would probably be on Thursday. Bob is hoping that his laptop can be sent off to the repair center sometime during our days off. We are waiting for the box and packaging material to arrive to prepare it for shipping. We also have scheduled a local RV cleaning guy to wash and wax our rig on Thursday. It desperately needs it and people here that have used him were very satisfied with his work and rates. So, we should be busy.

The weather continues to be beautiful. The days go into the low 80's and the nights into the high 30's with clear skies. Great sleeping weather. Today is our last day before our "weekend" and we will work from 8 to 2. Til tomorrow...
