Ho Hum Day

There's not a lot to say about yesterday. It was a ho hum day. Normal work day and usual afternoon at home. The work days are pretty long now that the activity has dropped. We are beginning to get hitch-itch if you know what I mean. We love our jobs and the people we work with but we are getting anxious to move on to our next adventure. We've heard from several workamping couples that a 4-5 month stay can get this way towards the end. The problem for us right now though is that we don't yet have a new destination to be excited about. We can see that many more places are beginning to advertise for winter help and that is a good sign. So far, most places have been advertising for help to get them through the remaining summer season. Many places have lost some their help through early departures of some of their staff. It would be hard, at least for us, to take a job for just one month in order to finish a season and then have to move on. Most of those places that are advertising close for the winter season so why bother?

Our schedule today calls for a short trip to Payson to do some small errands and grocery shopping. We will probably stop at the casino to try their buffet at lunch time. You may remember that the last time we went we missed the buffet because it was for lunch and not dinner. We hope to get it right this time. Of course, we may put a few coins in the slots while we're there. I don't think it's possible to get Josie from the car to the restaurant in the casino without stopping at the machines. She would have to be blindfolded.

We still have not received the packaging from HP for the return of the laptop. We hope it comes sometime today since we need to get that process started before it begins to conflict with our departure from here. It's nice to have a couple days off now...
