Patty and her family made it safely home after a long day of travel back to Chicago. We hope it will not be too long before we see them again - perhaps when they can visit us in our new home.
We now begin a new phase in our life adventure. Beginning today, we will be looking - seriously - at homes that will satisfy our requirements for the foreseeable future. Our real estate agent will show us homes in Sun City and at least one in Sun City West. Those are, basically, the areas we will look for now. The timing should be good as the snowbirds are about to begin their migration and the sellers of homes will want to make deals before the hot summer months arrive.
I met with our banker yesterday and started the discussions and preliminary approval process for a mortgage in the price ranges we are searching. We have lowered our range from the initial price range we considered as we want to make sure we can still enjoy some travel and have some extra money to enjoy retirement. We are excited about moving forward with our search and locating the "right" place for us...
