Instead of taking a trip on one of the trails yesterday, we decided to just make it a laid back day and do nothing. The guy came to wash and wax our rig so we stayed around while he did that. He showed up at about 9 AM and didn't finish until almost 2 PM. The fifth wheel sparkles again.
Josie did some laundry and Bob did some reorganizing of the files we brought with us. He also spent a good part of the day communicating online with some potential employers for the winter season. Some new areas became possibilities, such as Palm Springs, Santa Cruz and the Redwoods area of northern California. None of these have produced offers yet but they show mutual interest. It makes us appreciate the arrangement we have here. We'll keep looking and hope that we get a "slam dunk" offer soon.
We work the late shift today since we swapped shifts with the manager and his wife. This has been the longest period of time off that we've had since we arrived. By working the AM shift on Tuesday and the PM shift today, we have been off for nearly 72 hours. We may get spoiled.
Yesterday was 87 and 45 for our high and low temperatures. With light winds and cloudless sky it was a picture perfect day. Today is starting out the same way with a low of 47 so far.
Later...
