Shorter Days Are Here

Every year, it is the Labor Day Weekend that signals the big change in weather and in the season. This year is no exception. The days are getting noticeably shorter, the days are cooler and the forecasts are filled with more precipitation. It isn't getting light outside until after 6:30 AM now, where it seemed like only last week that the sun rose before 6 AM. It is too easy to sleep-in now.

Another sign is the start of the football season. The NFL preseason is over and our grandson, Austin, has his first regular college football season game today to kick off his senior year. There are great expectations this year for his Western Michigan Broncos team. They are favored to win the MAC Conference title this year. Of course, that means another Bowl Game at the end of the season. We will be watching every game that we can, and look forward to being at his game on October 22 in Kalamazoo against Eastern Michigan.

Our end of the season is 4 weeks from yesterday. It sounds good that we have less than a month to go. I will begin to put together our plans for the trip south on our next days off beginning on Tuesday. We are both anxious to get back and get settled for awhile in AZ at our space in the Pioneer RV Resort in North Phoenix...
