Slowing Down on Monday

It seems like Monday's in this household are used to get your feet back on the ground and rest up from the hectic weekend. Brandon wasn't feeling well, so he stayed home from school and, basically, nothing else happened that was really noteworthy. Josie and I took a trip over to our fifth wheel in storage to pick up a couple things and also just to check it out to make sure everything is still ok. Patty made a  grocery run and took Jordan to football practice in the evening and that was the extent of our Monday. It is good to have days like this though - we get to catch up on reading our books, and Patty gets to relax at least a little bit. It's still pretty much go-go-go for Mark as he stays in town after work to bring the boys home from practice at night which makes it a long day for him.

Today has the girls scheduled to get some nail work done. Josie wants a Pedicure and I guess Patty gets a Manicure. I'll stay home with Oakley and just read some more of my book.

The weather remains beautiful, except for some cooling in temperatures. Instead of highs in the 80's, we're getting 60's now. The nights are great for sleeping with lows in the 40's. Basically, it's still sunny and the trees are rapidly losing their leaves. Winter is on the way and we just hope that it is a gentle one - at least in Campbellsville, Kentucky, where an exciting November and December awaits us. Of course, we're hoping that it will be exciting in a positive way. Until tomorrow...
