Elizabethtown, KY

We were glad we made the decision to split the trip yesterday rather than try to make Nashville in one day. It was a much more comfortable day leaving at 10 AM and arriving in Elizabethtown, KY, at around 2:30. That gave us time to set up in our site:

and then do some exploring in town. The town is a good size (25,000) and has some interesting attractions. One that we found out about when we stopped at the visitors center in town was a Coca Cola Museum. We drove into the lot and were going to go through the huge museum (10,000 S.F.) full of Coca Cola memorabilia, but found out there was an admission charge so we decided to save that tour for some other day when we could spend a couple hours there if we wanted to. Anyway, I thought this shot of the side of the museum was interesting:

As it turns out, this town is only 50 miles from Campbellsville, so we will most likely return - at least once - while we are working at Amazon.com.

We drove around the whole town and came upon a Walmart Supercenter and stopped for some groceries, and also discovered that the town had a Kohl's - that puts it on the map for Josie.

The trip yesterday was much better, mileage wise. We got 8.7 MPG in very light winds which is much better than the day before. Today will be a trip of only 120 miles to a State Park in Gallatin, TN, just outside Nashville. We are looking forward to seeing some of Nashville. It also is a town that is fairly close to Campbellsville, so we will definetly return again. Until tomorrow...
