Paperwork for Amazon

The day was just kinda laid back yesterday. The main thing that was accomplished was completion of the paperwork for our job at Amazon.com. They needed an education verification form and a background check form completed. There also was a form that is to be used for a drug test, but that doesn't get completed until after we start work. It seems like a lot to go through for a seasonal job that will last only about 7 weeks. I guess you can't be too careful.

We also took another drive to the fifth wheel to get some information that we already had that would help us complete the Amazon forms. It's a good thing that the rig is so close as we have made several trips there so far.

Our schedule is beginning to take shape now. There are a few "warranty" type repairs that we need to have done on the fifth wheel, and we thought that since we are so close to Indiana (Howe), where our rig was manufactured, that we could go there to have the work done and also get a tour of the manufacturing facility where our unit was made, all at the same time. It turns out that we can do the tour with no problem - it is conducted on Tuesday's only - but we would have to take the rig 8 miles down the road to a facility for the repairs. We have scheduled Oct 26 to take the tour - while our rig is being worked on - and we will drop off the rig at the repair facility on the afternoon of the 25th and review the work order with them that afternoon. There is the ability to stay right there at the facility, with hookups, which makes it very convenient. That will result in our leaving here sooner than we planned, but the work needs to be done before the warranty expires on some of the work. We are thinking that maybe we can go from there and spend a couple days in Nashville, TN, before going on to Amazon in Kentucky. We'll have to see if that will work.

This morning we went to a short church service at the twins' school to watch Brandon give a prayer passage so we will report on that tomorrow. Until then...
