This is More Like It

It looks like we finally have some nice weather for our days off. Yesterday was dry, sunny, and the winds were relatively calm. Today appears to be starting out the same with clear skies and little wind. It was also our first dry day of May yesterday. Is it possible we will get 2 days in a row? We'll try to cram some activities into these 2 days, that's for sure.

It was so nice yesterday that we did our dinner last night on the grill for the first time since we arrived. I can see the effects of the salt air and all the rain on my propane tank that is used for the grill. It had a little bit of rust on the sides before, but it now looks a lot older than it did. This has happened even with storing the grill under the front overhang to help keep it out of the rain. I guess anybody that lives here, or spends a lot of time on the ocean, accepts the fact that they will have more maintenance to perform on everything that is kept outside.

There are several places we have identified to visit on our days off, so we just need to put them into some kind of order. With the nice weather we're having now, we may even visit more than one place. Sometime though, I will need to allow some time during one of these nice days to do some removal of the effects of the salt air. That's not nearly as much fun as going places and we certainly don't like wasting these nice days on that kind of stuff. We'll have to see how that works out. Until tomorrow...
