End of Our Weekend

Here we are at the end of our weekend again. It just goes so fast on our days off. We are so looking forward to the day that we don't have to work at all and can just use every day to relax or go someplace fun. We had to do some chores yesterday like grocery shopping and I got a haircut so we didn't get to go anyplace. Josie also made cookies so that pretty much took care of the day. I also sent off some emails to a few locations for Workamping, so I hope to hear back from those sometime soon. We did receive an offer from a place that was in the Badlands National Park in South Dakota but decided that it was too remote for us. It would have been at least an hour away from any kind of shopping or real civilization. We aren't ready for another one of those - been there, done that remote location thing. We kinda like having cell phone service. There are some potential opportunities though near Rapid City and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. That would be OK and it gets us a lot closer to Illinois where we can go visit Patty and her family in Naperville which is high on our list.

The good news about today and tomorrow is that Josie and I get to work both days without the managers being around since these are their 2 days off. The park is full, so we expect today to be mostly people coming in and out for the showers and buying small items from the store. Some are scheduled to leave today, but the mass exodus will be tomorrow. Fortunately, so far at least, the weather hasn't been too bad - a few clouds yesterday and today but no rain yet. I have seen several awnings out, including ours, so that's also a good sign that the winds are cooperating. We are now waiting for the heat to get turned up outside. May has been an exceptionally wet and cool month from what we have heard, so let's get on with summer in June...
