Mother's Day was not a typical one for us this year. We spent the entire day packing up as much as we could in the fifth wheel to be moved to our house. We didn't finish the job, and still have to pick up more boxes today to finish the job. Our problem today is twofold. First of all, we had to return the truck we rented and will have to move the rest of the boxes with our two cars. The second situation is that, at 12:30 PM, I will meet the movers at our storage unit and our personal belongings will be moved to the house this afternoon.
As we were moving in our boxes from the fifth wheel, we commented on how much the house is already shrinking. It will shrink a lot more today. We did get a chance to move out some of the unwanted furniture to the Salvation Army drop location before returning the truck. It was a tough and tiring day.
We are getting a little nervous about getting everything done with the motorhome as the dealer had an RV show at Westworld over the weekend and had all of their finance staff there along with most of the sales people, including our salesman. We have to wrap up that deal today, no matter what else happens. There are only a couple days left, and it seems like we have insurmountable obstacles ahead. We have contingencies for every outcome we can imagine and just hope we can stay on track with the planned events...
