It was another productive day leading up to the close on our house. The main event was the final walk thru which neither Josie nor I attended. We left it up to our agent as Josie couldn't afford to waste another couple hours on the potential of the owners still being there. They were, but they were leaving when our agent arrived. Everything checked out and we have signed off on the condition of the home.
I also went to the bank and obtained the cashier's check for the closing tomorrow AM. Now we are almost broke again. We have just enough to finalize the RV trade if we can get that done by the end of the weekend.
Other events that were scheduled include: an appointment with my Audiologist to get my hearing aids serviced before we leave for Jackson, the locksmith for Thursday afternoon to rekey the locks, Salvation Army drop on Saturday AM (if we can get everything together by then) and confirmation of our move from storage to the house on Monday at 12:30 PM.
Everything is still on target for our departure to Jackson on or around May 16 - that is one week from today...
