We are in the final phase of our mortgage process - underwriting. Basically, everything is approved and we are moving forward to the final steps where all the t's are crossed and i's are dotted. We still have no firm date for closing yet, but expect it any time now. The days are getting more and more precious as we need every one we can get to complete everything we must do.
Yesterday, I extended our stay here at the Pioneer Resort by two weeks. We were scheduled to depart on Saturday, May 5, and we now have until May 19 to leave this space. The pressure is on to get a plan for the RV as we have no place to put it as of now. Once we get into the house we will be fine as we can always find a place to (temporarily) store the fifth wheel until a long term decision can be made, if necessary. It becomes a problem only if we are not able to empty it prior to storing the unit.
Once again, we are at the mercy of other people performing their jobs quickly and efficiently. It is difficult to understand why it takes so long in these times of modern technology to finalize a transaction where there are no negative issues to address...
