More on Staffing

The departure of one of our experienced staff members left a sizeable hole in our staffing. We again had a couple from another visitor center stand-in for most of the day yesterday. We have no idea how long it will take to fill the open positions for the rest of the season, but we are doing our share to pick up the slack. It is, however, placing a real burden on our manager, Angelica.

We will be closing again today and work from 11 AM to 7:30 PM. The hard part for us is that we have to open at 7:45 AM tomorrow which makes for a short night tonight. Fortunately, that short night for us is only once a week.

Our weekend, beginning on Monday, is being planned. We really want to begin hiking so we expect to start on Monday with a fairly easy one around one of the mountain lakes. It will be nice once we get into a regular schedule and a set staff at work...
