We completed our second full week at the Visitor Center yesterday. With a little bit of drama - losing two employees - we are now looking forward to hiring replacements. It was, mostly, a smooth week for us as we opened on two days and closed on the other three. Now, it is time for some exercise and fun.
Our plan today is to take our first hike of the season to String Lake in the Park. It should be a fairly easy one at about 4 miles and relatively flat. That also means we should get some photos of the area. We expect to begin this morning before it warms up too much. The high yesterday was 85 which is about as warm as we want it to get for hiking. It should be in the 80's again today. Hopefully, all will go without a hitch...
