At least for now - the winds have stopped. We only had a couple chairs blown over on their side throughout the windy day. All of our Christmas decorations - primarily the deer and Christmas trees - survived without any problem. It is hard to understand how that happened as the winds were definitely in the 25-35 mph range. We should be good for some calm weather - at least for a couple days. I'm ready for some calm - and 70 degree days - where I can sit outside and get some nice warm sunshine.
Josie is in the final push at work to get through the busy Christmas season. Even though it is not anything like Valentine's Day or Mother's Day, there is still a spike in orders and she is kept very busy. I know she will be happy when Christmas arrives.
I received a notice from Social Security yesterday about a Cost of Living raise in benefits for 2017. It is a .3% increase - the first increase in two years - that exactly covers the increase in the Medicare Deduction. So, my net benefit is exactly the same as it has been the last two years. Thanks, Obama, for your final shot before leaving office...
