Of course, we all know about WMU's big win on Friday night for the MAC Conference Championship. Yesterday, I watched as Temple manhandled Navy to eliminate them from Cotton Bowl consideration. It should be smooth sailing now for a WMU confirmation of the Cotton Bowl award.
Last night, I watched Penn State beat Wisconsin for the Big 10 Championship. They have a chance to be selected as one of the Final Four for the playoffs. They have won 9 games in a row against some quality teams, including Ohio State - who defeated Michigan. Last night's game saw Penn State overcome a 28-7 first half deficit to win. Austin's best friend who plays for Wisconsin, Troy Fumagalli #81, played a great game. He was wide open in the end zone on one play when the Wisconsin QB threw wide and missed the chance for a certain score. Everything went well for Penn State in the second half while Wisconsin struggled.
It's a tough call for the selection committee today and it will be a no-win situation for them. It will be fun watching the selection show on TV today.
Oh, and the Seahawks play the Carolina Panthers today in Seattle so it looks like another fabulous football day...
