We were kind of down yesterday as a result of the non-action at Disney World. Most of the day was spent around the rig - Josie did laundry, I did more organizing and we both worked on a jigsaw puzzle we picked up earlier in the week.
We received an email from the owner of one of the Resorts that we worked in last year - Premier RV Resort in Lincoln City, OR. She indicated that she saw our resume and noticed the experience there last year, had an excellent report from the General Manager about our work and work ethics, and wanted to know if we would be interested in returning as Managers - immediately. What a surprise that was. Our experience there was very good except for the frequency of rain in the winter which we were kind of used to from living in Washington for so long. Our biggest problem, once again, is committing to a long term arrangement. Also, our main reason for leaving last year was the Manager they had there last year, and he and his wife are still involved with the Resort, even though they (supposedly) are going to another one of their Resorts. The pay isn't bad, but we will probably also pass on this offer. We'll just hang in there until the Tampa show ends next week and we'll see what opportunities come out of that.
It is raining this morning - actually storming - and we need to hitch-up and go to Camping World. It figures that the first rain we get would be on this day. We expect the rig to be in service all day, so anything earlier than 5 PM will be a pleasant surprise. It will be interesting to see how it goes today. That's about it for now...
