Although the morning was wet and dreary yesterday, the rain stopped after only .08". The sun didn't come out very much but the day turned out to be dry and partly cloudy, so it wasn't bad. We have heard that strong winds are coming in today but so far, it is partly cloudy and calm. We'll let you know how it turns out.
It was mentioned yesterday that one of our Manager's, Mary, has to have oral surgery done today so Josie and I will cover the whole day with split shifts. I start at 8 and work until Josie comes in at 1 PM and she will finish the day and come home at 6 PM. Not the best way to spend our day, but it is only for one day - we hope.
One of the nice things we do in the office is to provide a benefit for the dogs that stay in the campground. Aside from having their own enclosed play areas (2), we offer a dog biscuit to any dog that stops at the front entry - with owner, of course - and we reach into a jar we keep behind the desk and grab a biscuit to give them. There is this one dog that is with some people staying here for a month that goes crazy when he reaches the front door. He already knows that he gets a biscuit every time he passes the door and he won't let his owners walk past without getting one. The owners are nice folks that have invited Josie and I to go to a seafood buffet with them this Friday night at the Casino. We will probably go and stay awhile after dinner to try our luck. More about them later this week.
It's time to get some breakfast and get ready for work, so we'll see 'ya tomorrow...
