It was a chilly and nasty day most of yesterday and the weather made it difficult to think about doing anything outside. Every time we thought about going somewhere, another cloud would go by and dump torrents of rain on us. The last three days, including this morning so far, we have had .83, .78 and .67 inches of rain. The winds have slowed somewhat but the rain and cold weather just hangs on. There is snow again in the higher elevations of the Oregon Cascades and our low this morning was 42. The one trip we did make yesterday was to Safeway for our bi-weekly grocery run.
We got caught up on some movies that we had recorded over the last couple weeks and we also borrowed a couple from the office. There is a library of about 100 DVD's that we offer to guests in the park for overnight viewing. It's perfect movie watching weather - what else can you watch on TV these days besides all of the depressing news. We do a combination of "chick flicks" (for Josie) and "westerns" (for me) and in between we watch some drama/action movies. It's a nice change of pace.
We'll be ready to get out again when all this rain moves on. We follow the weather in the places where we have family and friends so we know that it is getting closer to the 100 degree weather in Arizona and the "sticky" 80's and 90's in the Midwest so maybe we should just enjoy this while we can. Once those places hit their typical summer weather, we will be thankful we are here, basking in the 60's and 70's everyday with a cool ocean breeze. That is the way it happens, right??
