New Experience With Good Friends

Our day was planned around the early evening get together with Ed and Eileen. We met them at the parking lot at our Visitor Center at 3:45 PM to go to the Jackson Hole Still Works - a new experience for all of us. It was a fun time and one that we all were glad we experienced. This is a shot taken in the tasting room which was where we began our tour:

Read the history of this neat place in this link Jackson Hole Still Works. Our guide was Zach Isler who did a terrific job describing the entire process and showing us how the process is performed. We spent about an hour in total and each purchased some product from the tasting room.

We followed that experience with a nice dinner at The Bird which is where Josie and I ate last week and also was only a block away from the Still Works. As it turned out, we sat in the same booth that Josie and I had last week:

Our friends are in town until next weekend when they leave for their home in Florida. We plan to get together at least one more time before they leave. They plan to come to AZ in April of next year where they have reservations to ride the mules down the Grand Canyon to celebrate their 53rd anniversary. We plan to meet at our house sometime during that visit.

We are back to work today at 10:45 AM and close the Visitor Center tonight at 7 PM. This is the least popular day on our schedule as the crew is not our favorite people to work with. Of course, we will make it through OK and get on with the rest of our schedule which now has about eight weeks to go...
