New Work Week Begins

It is always tough going back to work after three nice days of free time. Yesterday was a sort of struggle following the hike we did the day before. I was stiff and Josie was a bit sore, but we made it through the first day although it was long.

There are some negatives that we are dealing with and hope to change. The first one is the road we have to travel to go anywhere from our new site. When it rains, it is a muddy mess and when it is dry, it becomes a very dusty road. We will not have a clean truck at all this summer unless we wash it almost every day. Another negative is that there are too many workers on our staff right now. There are so many of us working each shift that we bump into each other, redo unnecessary tasks and have to deal with unfavorable schedules. Another one is that we have to drive to the laundry which has always been an easy walk before. Plus, the laundry we use now has no table in the room, so Josie has to improvise using the tops of the machines to fold clothes. The changes to these negatives may involve requesting a new space and a specific schedule. Time will tell.

Our goal is to remain as positive as we possibly can and maximize our enjoyment of this fabulous area. It is much too early in our summer season to draw conclusions...
