Heading to Yarnell Today

We had a great time yesterday on Patty's first full day of her visit. We started with a trip to the Pottery Place in Surprise where Patty wanted to get something for our house and she also wanted to see the place for future reference when she and her family move here from IL in about a year or so. This shot was taken while walking around the grounds:

Our original plan was to go to the Rec Center and spend some time in the pool. It got too hot to go anywhere in the afternoon, so we watched the movie "Only the Brave" in the afternoon. It is the true story of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who perished in the fire in Yarnell in 2013. That is where we are headed today. We will follow that with a stop in Prescott and then head home. We decided to do Sedona another time when we have can dedicate a day to that area.
