Oscars Night

We watched the opening monologue of the Oscars last night and as soon as the presentations started, we switched channels. It appeared to us that the night would be filled with political and social speeches for the "causes" of the day - and it was from the reviews we saw this morning. We really don't mind if folks have opinions to express but, nowadays, everybody wants to lead a charge to change the world. It is kind of disgusting to take away the true meaning of the awards show to provide a platform for political and social reform. Someday - but not likely - we may look at the tape that we made of the show.

We don't have any update yet on the open houses that were held at our home over the weekend. We did discover this morning that our competitor on the same street as ours received a contract over the weekend and the home was removed from the market. That should give us more exposure and improve our chances a little bit. That house did not have a pool and was priced about $20K less than ours. Of course, we have no idea what the accepted offer looked like.

The beat goes on, so to speak...
