Both of Josie's appointments were satisfied yesterday. It took all day to complete the eye exam and the shots that she received in her back. We killed some time between the appointments driving around some areas in Sun City to check out homes. There are some very good deals on some older homes in that city. We aren't sure if that is the kind of environment we want, but it is hard not to look at the potential. I think that a place on one of the golf courses would be the only possible option if we were to pursue anything there.
The second offer on our house actually was delivered to us during the night and we saw it for the first time this morning. Our first reaction is that it is an investor trying to "steal" the house. The couple has lots of cash and are asking for us to essentially give it away. The offer is far below what we would ever consider. We will make a counter offer, but don't expect them to accept anything much higher than their offer. We will see.
The other disturbing news is that the offer asked us to replace the missing pool vacuum cleaner. It was there on Monday when our pool service was performed. This is the second pool vacuum that we have had stolen since we acquired the house. That is another reason why I could never move back into the house. The neighborhood is very prone to thefts of front porch furniture and pool equipment. We suspect that much of these problems can be attributed to landscapers who are always in and out of the neighborhood.
