For months now, we have been seeing a stain on the floor of our bathroom closet. It started out as just an orange spot that looked like a result of some chemical leaking from a bottle or a container on the closet floor. We checked all the containers and assumed it was from one that we had already removed some time ago. We have watched this stain grow and grow and yesterday we discovered that it is spreading beyond the closet floor and becoming a problem for the rest of the floor in the bathroom. I took a couple shots of the situation and sent them back to our manufacturer, DRV (Doubletree RV), to see if they might have a clue. They responded this AM that they have no idea what might cause the problem. Here are the shots of this ugly, growing stain:
Our best guess at this point is that it is a result of water under the linoleum that is becoming, or has become, some kind of mold. Evidently, there is some water - probably from the shower base - that is leaking under the linoleum and causing the problem. Just what we need now - a major problem with the RV. I'll do more research on the problem today.
Josie is making progress on getting a solid schedule and limiting her work locations to one. The commute to the 7th St store for two days each week is brutal, and she is trying to address that situation. We will know more in a week or so.
