Earthquake

The news from yesterday was that we felt our first earthquake in the region. Actually, Josie felt it as I was waiting on a customer when it hit and didn't notice it at all. It was a magnitude 4.8 which is large enough to cause damage in a populated area. This one was in a fairly remote area, about 30 miles from Jackson. We know that there are always small earthquakes around the Tetons as they are constantly growing.

Also at work yesterday, Josie took a few shots of our workplace which are below. These first two are of the elk scene that is so prevalent in the building:

and finally, this one of yours truly standing at the register:

That will probably take care of the inside photos of our workplace for this year.

It is nice knowing that we only have two more days to work this week. The three days off schedule came just in time to wind down our summer season this year. With only September to go, it is getting close to the time when we have to plan our return to Arizona for the winter. At this point, we aren't exactly sure when we will leave as we volunteered to stay for a few days following our commitment which officially ends on September 30. Whatever the date we leave, it will not be more than a few days into October so that we can beat any snowstorms out of the area...
