Heating Up

Wow! It got to 86 degrees yesterday. It was the first day since we arrived that we were actually sweating. We saw where it got to 109 in the valley so we are thankful that we are here. Actually, we still have not had to turn on the air conditioner. This time last year it was running non stop day and night.

The day was normal as far as Sundays go. Lots of dumps and very few check-ins. We had to close last night and we had a problem doing that for the first time. It was only about the third time we have closed, so the procedure is still a little strange to us. The process was further complicated because we had an individual call and he wanted a cabin for the night but couldn't get here before we closed at 6 PM. We told him to come and we would stay open until he got here. We took care of him and then started the closing process and another individual arrived and we had to stop to sell him a couple sodas and a dump. Start over again on the balancing procedure. We finally got out of the lodge at about 7:15.

This morning the temperature is 49 degrees and the sky is clear. As we have the early shift, we should be done about 2 PM and then we are off until Thursday AM. This is the big 4th of July weekend coming up so we expect to rest up before it gets crazy...
