We are still seeing smaller crowds every day which makes for longer days. The numbers we have seen show that we are still running about 100 visitors less per day than last year. It is even higher from two years ago which was our last season here. Nobody seems to know exactly what the reason is for the smaller crowds. We do know that there are changes in Jackson which, in our minds, is not on the positive side. There is lots of construction - mostly to create low cost housing. The funny part is that that the low cost housing is still out of reach for most people. There has also been road construction which has resulted in up to half-hour delays every day except the weekends on the main road in and out of town to the north. Of course, the only time road construction can take place is in the summer.
Day two of our work week is today and we start at the same time as yesterday - 10:45 AM. We close once again, so it will be another late day....
