Our manager at work is trying to determine who is going to leave when so that he can begin scheduling for September. Our original departure was slated for early October - like, October 2. It may change now as a result of scheduling considerations and the fact that we may have another commitment that would require us to leave earlier. There is a very lucrative opportunity that we are considering and we should have more information about by the end of the day today.
The situation here this year has not been what we had hoped. The hours are not there on the schedule, the site conditions are not the best and the money has not been what we anticipated. Add the smaller crowds at the Visitor Center, and the work is more boring than ever before.
Hopefully, we will have some news to report on our direction very soon...
