Early Excitement

While sitting at our table and doing my normal, everyday computer work this morning, I spotted a moose going into the water outside our window.

 I grabbed my camera and told Josie. She quickly went outside and walked over to where she could get some good photos. The moose - a young bull - nonchalantly walked toward our RV site:

and I saw him right outside our window as he walked right past the truck:

He walked up the hill behind our site and out of sight. What a surprise start to our day. That's the first sighting of a moose in the elk refuge this year.

We caught one more mouse yesterday to raise the total to 5. We checked the trap this morning and discovered that a mouse had somehow walked off with it. Somewhere in our basement of the RV is a mouse wearing a trap. That should be fun to locate.

We work today from 9 to 4 and then have three days off. We are looking forward to the 4th of July and the activities in town...
