As we closed the Visitor Center last night (7:30 PM arrival at home) and have to start at 9 AM this morning, we had another quick turnaround to deal with. We get these occasionally on our schedule and they are not the best situations but they usually occur on the day before we start our weekends which eases the effect. Fortunately, the lousy weather we had yesterday and last night is clearing away and we expect very good weather for our three days off beginning tomorrow.
We received a report from George that their very good friend, Cot, suffered a heart attack on the 4th of July. He is also a friend of ours and we wish him a fast recovery. He is such a healthy individual that it came as a shock to us. It just shows that we are not above having serious health issues that may have been quietly and mysteriously building over time.
I guess we will be watching the clock all day today as we are anxious to begin our three day weekend at 4 PM today...
