Great Lunch and Start of Football

Yesterday was the start of the football fun. It actually started with a great lunch at the new burger place in Naperville - Empire. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had and we each had a different variety. This is what the restaurant looks like from the outside:

We each ordered a different one and they were all excellent.

From there, we went to the football game at Waubonsie Valley High School where Brandon and Jordan were to play their final game of the season. They were on the Sophomore team this year and the team did not have a great season. This is the pre-game coin toss where Brandon (#8) was one of the co-captains:

He played in all but a few of the plays on both offense and defense and scored his team's only touchdown in a 17-7 loss.

Even though the game didn't turn out the way we hoped, the girls had a great time and were warm, for the most part, throughout the game:

The big game is today. We will leave at around 7:15 AM to drive to Kalamazoo for the weekend. Since it is a late game, we will stay the night tonight and have dinner and visit with Austin following the game. The trip home on Sunday is expected to be a happy one as we anticipate Austin's team will win number 8 this year to stay undefeated. Go Broncos!!
