We had a very typical Saturday around our house yesterday. The real activity and the story for the day was the early snowstorm they were getting in Naperville, Ill. There was a very key playoff game being played and there was nothing that was going to stop that from happening. Patty sent a couple pictures, one early in the day and another later in the afternoon while the field was being cleared. These are the photos, starting with the one of her backyard in the morning:
And this one of the field clearing exercise:
Looks like fun doesn't it?
It's hard to believe that games aren't rescheduled when that happens, but come to think of it, I never saw a pro games cancelled or called because of the snow. We haven't had great weather so far this winter, but it sure tops what they are going through. It looks like Waubonsie lost their game to Marist, 31-16, and that ends the nice run they had in the playoffs. Brandon suited up as a freshman, and although he is too small to play this year, he will certainly be a factor for their team beginning next year. Could it be possible to have another Austin?
Today is the chance for us to get everything we need for Thanksgiving Dinner. We will do all the necessary shopping today as it will be the last chance for Josie until Thursday. That has always been the problem with the floral industry - getting all the time you need to prepare for holidays. It's been that way as long as I can remember, so we are certainly used to it. That makes for a better appreciation for the holidays once they do arrive...
