WMU dominated in every aspect of their game last night - except the final score. NIU (Northern Illinois University) won the game, 27-19, and eliminated WMU from contention for the MAC West title. I'm not sure what impact that will have on their bowl chances, but it certainly won't help. WMU had the ball inside the 5 yard line with 4 chances to score and with just two minutes left in the game and couldn't punch it in for a score. They really should have won this game. Their conference record is now 5-2 and overall record is 6-5. No matter how they finish the year, we are very proud of Austin and how he played all year long.
Thanksgiving is beginning to take shape. We went out and picked-up some of the goodies we need for dinner including a couple of snack items. Josie is coordinating the meal and we almost have the logistics worked out for how and where we will sit and eat dinner. We have plenty of room and it should be a very good day. If anybody is on a diet, forget it for that day.
We are also ready for Christmas decorating with outside lights. They, along with our tree, will all go up right after Thanksgiving. It will be a very different holiday season for us in the new house...
